Does Secure Travel offer monthly Super Visa insurance?
Secure Travel, operated by RIMI Insurance Solutions and underwritten by Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. (iA Financial Group), promotes a monthly payment option for Visitors to Canada and Super Visa coverage. It is typically structured as two months of premium plus the policy issue fee paid upfront, followed by ten monthly instalments — twelve payments in total over the policy term.
Monthly payment can lower the upfront cost but does not change the IRCC requirement that the policy be valid for at least one year from entry and meet the Super Visa minimum coverage. Note that Secure Travel products are not available to residents of Quebec. Confirm the current payment schedule and any fees with your advisor.

The upfront amount is larger than a single monthly instalment because it includes two months of premium plus the policy issue fee; the remaining ten payments are billed monthly. When comparing monthly to annual, account for that upfront amount and the full set of instalments rather than the per-month figure alone.
Secure Travel splits into Plan 1 (no pre-existing coverage) and Plan 2 (a stability-based review): for Plan 2, a pre-existing condition may be covered if it was stable for 90 days before the effective date (ages 69 and under) or 180 days (ages 70 to 84).
Pre-existing conditions and monthly plans
Plan 2's medical declaration is effectively all-or-nothing — if any answer does not meet the stability requirement, it can affect the entire pre-existing assessment. The monthly amount should not drive the Plan 1 vs Plan 2 decision when a parent has a medical history.
